Browned Butter and Garlic Chicken Alfredo

A hearty meal sure to satisfy everyone in your home. Delicious, quick and simple, you can’t go wrong with chicken alfredo!

You will need-
1 1/2- 2 pounds chicken
One stick butter (1/2 cup)
One cup heavy cream
One cup milk
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
3 cloves garlic
About 2 TBS flour
Parsley (optional)
Vegetable oil
Slice your chicken into 1/4-1/2 pieces. Season with salt and pepper to your liking. Heat up your pan over medium high heat. I prefer cast iron but any non stick pan will do. Add a tablespoon or so vegetable oil, just enough to lightly coat the bottom of your pan. Throw in a tab of butter from your stick, this helps it brown nicer. Add your chicken and two cloves garlic (minced or pushed  through a garlic press), combine, then stir occasionally until it’s golden brown. Remove from pan and set aside.

Add stick of butter to pan, it will melt very quickly and begin to brown. Once light golden brown, sprinkle in about 2 TBS of flour and wisk in. Immediately turn your heat to low. Stir in remaining clove of garlic (minced or pressed). Give it a minute to cook out the raw garlic flavor. Add heavy cream, milk, cheese and a pinch of salt. Wisk until smooth and thickened.

Add your chicken to the sauce. Stir in a little parsley and your done! There you have it, homemade chicken alfredo. How easy was that?!
Serve with pasta of your choice. I always use my homemade fettuccine.
I like to add my cooked pasta straight to the pan and coat pasta with sauce for quick and easy serving.
